Loving Wisdom

Hi friends, it's time to join Fabulously First's linky party. Deb is collecting advice for new teachers. To link up, copy the template into powerpoint, add a text box in the area you want to write, and save it as a jpg to insert into your blog. I can't wait to hear what you have to say.

  1. Hi Laura, Thanks so much for your genuine wisdom and honesty. I have had new teachers following this linky party that are coming back later to check for more. Thanks So Much!

  2. I like your advice about parents. It's so much easier to call home about something that isn't quite so positive when you already have a great relationship with the parents.

  4. The "hold your tongue" thing is great advice. It is so important to fly under the radar this first year and to pick your battles so to speak. Wonderful post today.

  5. Thank you for providing such thoughtful advice! I will be a first year teacher this year and really appreciate all of the great words of wisdom for the link up!

  6. Thank you ladies for your kind comments! I feel lucky to be able to share my ideas with such a great group of ladies! :-)

  7. Great advice! As I move to a new school next year, the principal told me the kind of people who do well there (open, honest, friendly, sharing) and the people who don't do well (someone who thinks the ideas they come in with are best and aren't open to doing things the way the school has always done them). There is definitely a fine line between , "Hey, let's try this new ideas together," and "I do it this way, you all need to, as well." Great advice Laura!
